- Smartphone Repair: Reading and writing character sets on Android phones, brick recovery, and account lock removal (one of the most essential tools for smartphone repair)
- Supported chips: eMMC, NAND, UFS (select versions); supports BGA-packaged font chips
Hardware Compatibility Notes
The software cannot be used on its own; it must be used in conjunction with the EasyJtag Plus hardware programmer, connecting to BGA character set chips via a probe socket, soldered chip socket, or jumper wires.
- Workflow: Remove the chip → Place it in the programmer socket → Open the EasyJtag software on the computer → Read and write the character library image.
Differences from the automotive repair tools mentioned earlier
- BAVCalc: Software-only solution for calculating passwords and anti-theft codes
- EasyJtag: Software that works with hardware to directly read and write the original firmware image from the memory chip. It is used to dump the in-car infotainment system’s character set; once the .bin file is obtained, tools such as BAVCalc or DaVinci can be used to process the data within it.
